I really love that someone read her book of essays, recognized her symptoms, took the effort to write to her and made show her letter, got to her to help suggest she get assessed and evaluated for elhers danlos syndrome.

Even after Lena's multiple surgeries, hospitalizations, EDS diagnosis, and other diagnoses she chose to not slow down, she chose to continue working, she chose unhealthy behaviors. I get that Hollywood puts a lot of pressure and the go go go, but I have to ask did Hollywood make you sick, did your choices of not prioritizing your body worsen/prolong things. Not judgement, but Hollywood isn't 100% to blame.

As someone in medical/psychiatry I strongly disagree w/ the USA being a country that doesn't want anyone to heal. There are TONS of providers in the USA that want to help those who want help and to heal. EVERYONE WANTS TO HEAL UNTIL THE MEDICINE SHOWS UP IN THE FORM OF DISCIPLINE

I wouldn't attribute her using a medical cleaning cotton swab (long sticked cotton swab) to clean her ears and then puncturing her ear canal as an illness/medical condition attributed to her fame/working in Hollywood.
