I came to "A Prayer for Owen Meaney" rather late - 2026; it was published in 1989. Someone on Facebook listed her 10 favorite books. I had read all of them except "Owen Meaney." When I indicated that, several people responded that I should read "Owen Meaney." I now agree with Stephen King: It is "a remarkable novel...a rare creation."
