Do I even care anymore if things work out for these characters?
This whole series is a charmless ASOIAF imitation. Those books worked (until they didn't) in large part because of the character work. The Starks are idiots and all, but their tragedies at least felt sad. The Hawkspurs, aside from Tyreta, are all just awful. Their tragedies mean nothing.
And one of these characters is named Wenis. I can't.
