This book feels like a good comp for Plain Bad Heroines with more angst. It also might leave me with similar mixed feelings, which I'm fine with.

All I wanted was to be in denial about my good friend, gal pal, classmate but instead I ended up with this extremely haunted boarding school with terrible food.

"I think a grand lesbian conspiracy amongst the teachers is a fantasy and you'd best to drop it."

So far the prose is doing a very good job of setting that gothic literary tone. I'm cautiously hopeful for the rest of the book.
