This is harrowing so far and has me invested....reading about a "bucket of eyeballs" in the hospital almost did me in even as an RN as the nurse who saw them did throw up...brutal! The explosion of 1917 in Halifax harbour was massive++ as two ships collided, caught fire, and the munitions exploded...so devastating :(
