So far pretty interesting.
The guy published under an alias (Johannes de silentio). Apparently didn’t like the philosophers of his day who believed doubt was a simple intellectual exercise and faith an easily abandoned, outdated convention.
Kierkegaard is fascinated and haunted by the story in which God asks Abraham to sacrifice his son. He begins by retelling this story, wondering at all the text leaves unsaid.
