This was one of the best books I’ve ever read. A freakin’ literary masterpiece. This should be required reading for all. It’s a shame that the tragedy of Partition is too often misremembered and politicized/ dehumanized for political gain, sowing religious divide, and warmongering. The way this is written is so relevant to present day, one would never think it was written in 1956.
