its alriiiiight I mean it is a little too y/a fantasy book for me I feel so its not totally my thing but it grew on me after reading more, its cute ig

the book seems to be (so far at least idk I'm on the last chapter so maybe nothing will happen and I'm reading it wrong) pushing this romance between these two main characters and maybe I'm gay but they do not have any romantic tension at all imo it just seems like its because they are boy and girl woah

Not a huge fan of one of the main characters, she was kinda glazing the empire too much for my liking but I know its supposed to be because she is younger and optimistic and stuff (it wasn't that much actually it was a single moment that irked me). I cant hate too much tho cus it might be because I just don't find her very relatable or something

I am enjoying the overall story and setting(s) tho, despite the y/a fantasy bookness it still feels like a very elder scrolls scenario + I'm not hard to please so
