So far it has a very strong feminist theme, which isn't a bad thing, but I am finding it rather annoying. The MC insists that she is capable and independent. The rest of the cast is male, and they all are either overprotective, critical of her ability, or sheltering her from the world. It feels like a book trying to be women's fiction, but the only woman in the book is reckless, naive, and needing instruction.
