james baldwin is an amazing writer. i’m blown away by his prose. this book is so relatable so far - tackling the experience of growing up in a black family heavily involved in the church, and the weight it has on you. my only gripe is bro needs to break this up into chapters. it’s been one extremely long paragraph so far
