I have to admit, I'm lost about what's happening overall.

It's already established that Lorelei, the succubus, isn't all bad -- or even mostly bad. They've recently established that angels, including Rachel, aren't all good.

Angel curses like a sailor, but then everyone does these days.

I've concluded that nobody is all bad or all good.

A mortal fight was had at a mortal party, with Alex and his friends. Although it was a mortal party, Alex brought Lorelei with him. A vampire also attended, escorting a young college coed. Guardian angles including Rachel came around to observe the proceedings.

Query: why did Lorelei vaporize the vampire?
