Absolutely enjoying this book in a way I haven’t for some time. Part of me is picking apart the mystery, and part of me is deep diving on the critique of modern trad wife and conservative Christian cultural politics. I loathe and feel empathy for Natalie. While she may be a prisoner of her success, she is a monster of her own making…owing to her desire for authenticity she was too weak to create on her terms.

The writing style and narration evoke a bit of "I Am Charlotte Simmons," with an entirely less humble and entirely dislikeable protagonist. Easy to read, and filled with lots of subtle critiques at modern influencer and conservative culture. I'd originally balked at buying this when I first heard about it (though I definitely intended to read it), but so far I'm glad I didn't wait to clear the library queue.
