Sucks, doesn't it...

Well, as a mood reader, having a big pile of Currently Reading books on my reading table helps a lot with that.:)
But yeah, it does happen that I am not in the mood for anything on that pile and then the pile, again, gets bigger.:')

Oh wow 29 currently reading! I used to have multiple books going at the same time before, but eventually it just wasn't working for me anymore.

Yea I can't really do multiple currently reading at the same time either. maybe two if one is physical/ebook and one is audiobook bc I tend to do other genres on audio than physical/ebook

If you're gonna do mutiples at the same time it's smart to spilt them up like that yeah.

Tbf, currently only about 8 of those are actively being read.:)
But most I intent to pick up again when I feel like it.
I do divide them yes, by genre, setting and type.

I will usually have a historical nonfiction, a sci-fi and a fantasy novel, a Star Wars and a Warhammer novel, a short story anthology and (recently) something specifically lighter to balance the more heavier themed books.^^

I love having a broad palette to pick from like that. There are periods when I narrow down and focus more of a smaller selection too, which is nice.
I don't read fast, but neither do I really feel like being stuck in a reading rut.
