I've read a lot of hurt/comfort and have a thing for that trope.
In many books past trauma is magically healed as soon as the hurt MC meets "the one" and they have sex the forst time.
I really appreciate that it's done different here: trauma isn't gone because you love and trust someone. You keep struggling with it.
I'd say Tycho/Jax is one of the more realistic portrayals of the hurt/comfort trope.
