I'm losing interest, feels like the author doesn't know where to go exactly. There are so many characters that don't seem to have anything to do, I wish it was more like when even tho you didn't see a character you knew they were developing somehow. Now a lot of characters just seem to be on standby for when Cale calls them in, to teleport.
I hope I'm wrong and it will change in the future books.

I finished! We are finally entering the Alchemist Bell Tower, I'm surprised they instantly found Adin lol. Dude, wasn't even in a secluded, proper room, hiding and recovering. I don't know if this plan of recording will pan out great. It probably will but it just sounds kind of... ehhh

The Jungle battle was probably my favorite one in this book. The vines and the first ancient power going at it, devouring. Still nothing from the ancient fire power so I'm actually guessing that he is gone or "consumed"

I did like the way the ancient fire power was consumed into Cale, does it mean he is in sync with it now? I wonder if the voice of the power will disappear now that it's completely consumed.

The double agent play is so messy. And Hilsmann is working overtime lmao

I can see how Roan will want for Goldie to be some sort of either Alchemy Tower leader or because he is both interested in alchemy and extremely proficient in magic, creating a version of the original idea of the free city that is the old dragons new "home" that is under his rule somehow. I imagine the elf's worshipping him would love that shit

I still don't know how they will turn Rex into an Emperor (?) like that's one of the weakest plot threads.

Ah, i missed this series.

Cale calls Tunka a crazy bastard, but who really is the crazy one here. Roan is going to think this is normal when he grows up.
