if ur gonna bash christians at least get your language right 😭 author possibly has catholic roots but is referencing the baptist tradition incorrectly (while im sure this is [sadly] an accurate portrayal of how some stupid boy treated her it has less to do with his religion and more to do with his horrible personality and lack of understanding of who God is)
