It did lowkey work in his favour though because people underestimated him
@j☆ke yea that’s true! i remember a bit in Catching fire when katniss said, “nobody expected a kid from 12 like him to win” (which is what they thought about katniss and peeta- but still)
no one truly believed a tribute from district 12 could win, given they hadn't seen a victor until haymitch, and with another 24 years passing before katniss and peeta, hope was practically non-existent
yess!!! but i think even considering Lucy Gray, people just didn’t have hope, because she won so long ago. Haymitch has talked about a “mysterious victor of the 10th hunger games” a few times (which is Lucy Gray), but even he seems to have no hope sometimes.
yeah, I agree with u. honestly, I think if it wasn't for haymitch, maysilee could have easily won
i’m honestly so excited to see how this plays out, i’m only in part two and the fighting hasn’t started yet but i know my hearts gonna break :(
OHH, sorry, I'm getting a little ahead. yeah, this book isn't for the weak 💔 still really excited for the movie though
