Uhhhh okay maybe I’m too squeamish for this but I’m 90 minutes in, they’re hooking up in an alley behind a wedding venue, and the entire time he’s planning to kidnap her. It’s hard to see this as consensual when he’s there under false pretenses and actively planning to harm her the entire time.

God knows why i stuck with this book but i have 3 hours left and the loan returns in 5 hours so I might not even finish it. But I have to record for posterity that a year and a half after faking his own death, the kidnapper MMC shows up to reveal to the FMC that he’s still alive, and when she asks why he’s there, he gives the incredibly romantic line “it’s been a year and a half since I was inside you.”
