My favorite novel. My proudest possession is a signed unedited proof. Not an easy read both because of the literary knowledge assumed and the horrific violence.

While I'll reserve most comments for when I'm finished (I'm about 3/4 through), I agree with your assessment. It's a tough read, but certainly worthwhile. That's amazing that you have a signed proof! What a treasure!
