The tavern scene is how I feel about eating. It’s a disgusting take on how people consume. I love it!!!!!

Aeolus was a hell of a chapter. Had to look up to see that the bold text was “headlines”. It kind of stressed me out to read this chapter, which is how I assume it was to work at newspaper like that. So much going on, not enough time to think before something else happens. Should of reread the Odyssey first, I think I’m missing some of the allusions… oh well. I’m enjoying it anyways!

I love Leopold and Molly. Also I feel like Proteus in a filter, as the book has opened up a lot. I love how much Leopold ponders his kitty. I do the same.

The beach section is so evocative. The beach is a beast of decay and death. Washing all away with its tides. Taking the book slow and translating or describing every word I don’t know (which is a lot of them). This book feels like a religious text with the layers. I assume everybodies copies of Ulysses look completely different in terms of markings!
