man i love joe and the “you” series so much oh my god it is such a delight to hear from joe again i’ve been deprived for so long, last year i reread the first three and i missed him so much ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

with that being said this one was a slight let down… 🫩 i mean 17-year-old joe is a much more insecure version of the joe i know and it really does show and his immaturity too! this was more prominent before he actually fucked vail and he was yearning for some pussy so that’s all he thought about but afterwards it was just him being insecure and thinking bail actually liked him

anyway i am so feminist irl but in these books wow it is so hard to root for vail because i hate that cunt so much i love JOE he really did do everything for her and the whole time she was in love with dick…i can’t even really hate dick either (ok) because he lowk helped joe get the girl in the first place…i think vail has some thing with attention because like i swear her feelings for joe were real or at least driven by her need for attention she so obviously turned green with envy and jealousy when vagina was there so like…

her being in love with dick was a plot twist i swear like i did think at first dick and her were fucking around but that’s IT not her being in love with him????? he actually does not like her it’s so obvious she needs to stand UP omg she’s twenty five years old what the he’ll

and all that for her to get hit by the bus???? TF????? i loved it in the previous books when joe would be out and about doing stalking and killing like when he went to peach’s like cabin or whatever and left the mug of piss (UGH i need to reread it again so fire 🔥) in this one he stayed local within SoHo Bed stuy??? like joe get out! but also he didn’t have a car he only used mooney’s in the end so fine whatever ugh j really need to read you #1 that was toooo good

anyway the sex and the city references would’ve been way funnier if i watched the show but i did understood enough to know that his understanding is warped because isn’t mr big the bad guy????? idk but joe’s POV of carrie seemed very annoying too she sounds awful so idk whose worse

joe really does love mooney which is sweet i’m glad he doesn’t kill the guy and poor joe with his parental issues (he got fed cigarettes for breakfast oh joe) and idk if it’s true dick actually cannot jizz because of the lawn mower incident…i think vail’s lying because dick does not give off vulnerable vibes…i mean the girl IS a liar she lied about putting the missed connections and she lied about dick being obsessed with her (he’s not 😂😂😂😂) and about joe being a stalker YOU LIKED THAT!

cynthia could’ve been the next (first?) peach but i get how that maybe been too similar…but also forty died randomly by a car crash just like vail with the bus crash so like idk

anyway the book just consisted of their situationship and joe pining and when vail came into joe’s shop after her birthday seemingly pissed about him missing it i was genuinely taken aback like thinking “wow she don’t play about him” but idk what that was about because she sucked dick off in the bathroom! god i hate to say this but what a whore! but that is only in a book way irl i am so supportive of “whores” and female cheaters like YES! you make the world go round

like i really think how could vail have had the energy to string joe around if she didn’t like him at least a bit…cmon…

anyway this book really did keep me on my toes i was rushing to finish it today but i do have to say the joe jokes are not hitting the same which is why im desperately craving a re-read of the prev books to get my joe back 💖💖💖💖 wow i should really watch you season 5 because what even happens

and i do need to reread for you and only you…man wonder is a POS and i remember a few bits and pieces of that book (some husband biking to his death over a hill…wonder fucking a guy and big family bad sister and dad…wonder copying joe’s book) and that does remind me there should be another book too because that ended in a cliffhanger i swear!

i hope there is another book i love this you verse it’s so wonderful i love joe soooo much it was a pleasure reading about you and i’ll see you again you #1 i mean even if i can’t get the physical book i have the online version…

and dick is kinda strange making up a fake brother that’s dead…and vail’s worse and so bird she doesn’t even gaf about that…ok

and many movie references i only know of good will hunting and even then i didn’t know what he was referring to and like WHO is cusack and piven but that jeremy guy really is a real one for joe one of this true friends and i did like the friendship between dick and joe even if it was fake sigh
