My opinion on Sally Rooney’s writing style is constantly fluctuating. I’m not totally on board with the no quotation marks, not because it’s hard to read, but actually because it isn’t hard to read. Does that make sense? I think some of her style choices just seem silly to me. Like she just wants to be different. There are so many sentences fragments, and so many things that just dont seem to add anything.
