Chapter 1 was a little slow but I imagine this was the start of the build. I skimmed the rest of the book, it's only 12 Chapter but each of them are so long. Chapter 2 picks up the pace, and is dotted with so much culture and nuances and was a joy to read. The writing also picks up. I'd be so interested that if the author were to write this book again, would they format it the same?
