Not only is the plot continuing to thicken and twist, but he's getting all delightfully philosophical and theological on me. It was out of place in book one but makes oh so much sense in book three. I sometimes feel like I have to hang on to the plot complexities by a thread, but it's refreshing to have a contemporary fantasy author who uses his brain and sounds rather biblical as he does it.
