I picked up this book expecting a story about friendship, creativity, and game development, but it ended up being much heavier than I anticipated, with themes of grief, trauma, and abuse. I made it more than halfway through before deciding not to finish. While I can understand some readers might connect with this book, it just wasn't the right fit for me.
