I love seeing how the events in the prequel are impacting the events in this book. It's so interesting to see how the characters have progressed and what changed over time.

Jumping between the prequel and book one is interesting. In book one, Ali is already missing but in the prequel we're still in 7th grade learning about the disappearance. It oddly makes perfect sense too
