There's a bit of debut-novel-itis, but overall I'm enjoying the story and characters.
The worldbuilding is some ham-handed scifi goodness where everything has to have a totally new, strange word for it and the characters spend 56% of the time talking about cool, far off places or referencing historical events. I love it, though; it makes me think of the cheesier TNG episodes.
