The Age of Desire - Couldn’t really take to this one. I felt bored and distracted from start to finish. A disappointing end to the book. 1/5 stars

Down, Satan! - Definitely the weakest story in the book so far. A descent into madness while trying to make a hell on Earth that Satan himself would admire and visit. The story itself was pretty uneventful though.

Revelations - This was a bit of a weird one. A pair of ghosts from thirty years ago visit the site of their death. Somehow they’re able to interact with some of the living. It becomes an entwinement of times and stories and characters. It’s all rather messy, but then that’s true to life isn’t it? It was okay, but I saw the ending a mile off. 3/5 stars for this one.

The Inhuman Condition - How does Barker do it?
You know what this story is about? A string of knots. And you know what? That string is terrifying. He is literally creating fear out of the most inanimate and bland objects. And he’s doing it so damn well!

The Body Politic - I thought this was going to be a bit of a silly one when it started, but it very quickly became quite terrifying. The idea that your own hands could become sentient and take control, and raise an army… it really was pretty cool. 4/5 stars for this one.
