so good. all the arches are good. Todd's, everyone in Makatea and Evie's (I read recently that u shouldn't accept neither compliment nor critique of someone whose life you wouldn't choose for yourself, and actually find someone's whose life you wish to live - that is her to me; i'd annoy the hell out of her with requests for guidance even though i know she wouldn't provide much. i want to live as unguided).

Most beautiful book. More fast paced than The Overstory and follows a different narrative structure: very short snippets of each character arch and they go on getting ticker at each appearance
