The entire article breaks my heart because when you read the accounting of what these chemicals do it’s despicable that we could trust the industry that makes them to go against their own profits and solvency to self-regulate. That the industry themselves are responsible for all the labs and testing to declare what’s safe — why should that be allowed? How does that promote accountability? What company of that size goes against its board members and leaches into its own pockets for the better of people? At that size it’s not about the people anymore. Just money. And it hurts that our current administration will never hold them accountable.
