it reads like a story being told by a child in an incredible way. the dryness makes me want to believe every word, so it always hits when she shows the gore beneath the surface. i feel like these people are sharks, in that their capacity for viciousness doesn’t come from hate because it couldn’t. they’re so plain and dogmatic that they’re not evil, they just. are.
