Yiyun Li processes the same thread of her deeply personal story through fictional writing, parenthood, loss, unbefitting emotions… To write is to conceive and believe, and there’s a different linearity to a reader’s eyes. To me, all her meditations get diluted unfortunately - The one I found the most interesting is ‘A Flawless Silence’.
