100 pages in and still no ''How to take smart notes'' in a book called ''How to Take Smart Notes''. The book introduces a note-taking system (Zettelkasten), but doesn't give an example of what it's supposed to look like. Instead the author just keeps rambling about why you should use this method in a series of seemingly unrelated chapters that makes you wonder where exactly he's going with all of this

There were some interesting insights, yet it was a dreadful read. I think this unironically has to do with the author following the Zettelkasten method himself for writing this book...

Zeynep زينب ugh i hate when the authors just yap about the why but never come to the how. like that's basically the whole point why i'm reading a self-help book... but it's especially ironic when the title itself is called "How to take smart notes" 😭

I agree! Now I can't even decide if I want to try the method or not because of how poorly it's explained. I am pretty sure I am going to end this book recommending people NOT to read it...
