Half of this book is just - oh here’s this phrase, maybe Joe Hill might have been inspired by it, but we don’t know though - man this could be 200 pages shorter

This book defends overpopulation theory and says John Muir (also anti indigenous in his ideas) was a conservationist which is simply factually inaccurate

This entire chapter is just talking about how communist party members were evil thugs and murderers, thank you McCarthy!

The author has renounced supporting the allies in WW2 in the name of internationalism, and repudiated revolutionary violence as ineffective, we’ll see what the IWW is cooking up these days…!

Rosemont takes pains to contest the historiography of Joe Hill’s biography, defending Chaplin’s biography as correct, and then in the footnotes says well actually there was a bunch of stuff he lied about…

Rosemont is taking pains to make sure the first however many pages isn’t even about Joe Hill, but criticizes many communists, some of whom were actual Wobblies
