Not a chapter goes by in this book without reading something that reminds me of a stunt Donald Trump and his goons have done and/or tried to pass off as original ideas. This chapter literally ends with Post reporters being banned from White House events and challenging the FCC licenses of the television stations owned by The Post. It’s just so blatantly stupid oh my god.

It amazes me how this book can keep me so invested with chapter cliffhangers. I know what happens yet it keeps me going every time.

Every single chapter has another detail that just reminds me of MAGA. Oh the media is all anti-Nixon and can’t be trusted? Hmmmm yeah okay.

Coming at this book as a fan of the movie and a member of Watergate Nation. Very intrigued so far. It’s so interesting how much of this is exactly the same as today’s politics. They’re literally trying to redo all the bad parts of history by acting like it’s new or that it’ll work differently this time.

Absolutely insane and I can’t put it down.
