Thank god the editors introduction is only…half the book 💀
What’s crazy to me so far is that Parisian literary Jean-Jacques Rousseau who lived in the 1700s and the ancient chinese philosopher Lao Tzu (born 571 BC) both claim that a healthy society has no need for theaters and the arts. While their reasons may differ it’s interesting to see two men from different worlds and times say the same thing.
