I think I'll give this book 2.5 stars rounded to 2 cause the writing style is fine, the story is captivating, the timeline is confusing and I didn't really enjoy it.

What this book taught me:
1. Formula One was (and probably still is) an extremely toxic place
2. Most of the time you don't need talent but luck and money
3. Everyone in Formula One has a huge ego, especially drivers.

Ecclestone is a freaky, groomer, misogynist asshole. I'm shocked.

And how did he get his first win? Starts second, loses P2 at the start, then the car in P2 crashes and in the last ten laps P1 crashes cause it started raining!! What?!" Then he spins, two cars pass him, but then one runs out of fuel and the other one has an electric issue. Huh? What?!?

This guy is the luckiest man alive, genetically. He has a brother with a degree in mechanical engineering, rich family, gets calls last minute by owners of minor categories not one, not two but four times by owners of teams in F3, F2 and even F1. And the call he got for Formula One was because the guy that was driving before died.
