well that was an emotional rollercoaster, i very thoroughly enjoyed! 4.3 stars :)

this book was sooo well written and the way lina forgets her past as a jew to become elise was absolutely brilliant dear heavens

amanda is such a well written character, the way her trauma and mental state is depicted is SO WELL WRITTEN AND COMPELLING OMG

damn at first i thought the woman at the beginning was vierra but whoop dee doo, it’s lina ‼️‼️

her innocence is killing me, like i don’t want anything bad to happen to her but it’s WW2 and she’s jewish so womp womp to my dreams 😭

ok this book is actually so good so far, i predict it will leave me a wreck by the end of it yayyyyy
