I've never had a book hook me within the first 2 chapters like this one did.
I figured out one of the major twists fairly early, but it honestly didn't matter. The journey was so compelling that I couldn't stop reading, and the ending was far darker and more disturbing than I expected.
Joe Lansdale absolutely nailed the atmosphere, and Harry may be one of my favorite child narrators ever.
An easy 5 stars.
