Really pleasantly but also heartbreakingly surprised by the OCD rep, more invested in that journey atm

Chapter called 11:00 am, paperback pages 83-85 (a short chapter) discusses turtle neglect and death, it is used to drop hints of what happened to Jan, and off handed sentence about a pet dog being put down bc they can’t stop peeing in the house (hate people who have pets but can’t handle a pet acting like an animal so they believe the only option IS TO KILL THEM? Be so fr gtfo)

I was wrong it got worse, animal abuse of a cow page 71-75 on paperback, if you’re reading an ebook it’s chapter July 12, 2002. You can sort of predict when it’s about to happen and just skip to the end of the chapter, I easily skimmed over it. The only thing you miss is that Pims realizes she’s wearing Jan’s boots, runs away but then does one last dare, poking into the plastic on the cow feed

Pg. 71 brief but disturbing description of animal abuse. Context: kids in a truth or dare game and a kid chose truth to say the worst thing he’s ever done. I figured something like this would pop up since a dairy farm was involved. Will update if there’s more, the way it was written makes it seem like there shouldn’t be. Fingers Crossed!
