Whoa. I’m almost there. THE END is in sight. I adore this part. When the quietness of the plot takes over, and the momentum starts to calm. When the characters have overcome every fight, and what’s left is love. It’s almost time to write the dreamiest happily ever after—but it’s bittersweet. Because that means I’ll be saying goodbye and moving on to my next book, and I’m not ready to let these two go. Send tissues.

My heart won’t stop pounding. Every time I sit down to write, this keeps happening. It’s the suspense of will they or won’t they. It’s the passion that’s as heated as the hate. The hero and heroine are fueled by animosity, and it’s FIRE. How do I calm myself down enough to write? I inhale Twizzlers—gummy candy is the answer to everything—and I let the characters take me on this wild ride.

Here's a little teaser: “You’re leaving me? Like this? You’re not even going to do what you promised?” I gasped.
“I promised nothing.”
“You said you were going to fuck me!”
He smiled. “That was all part of the edging.”
I drew in some air, and it burned like the rest of me. “I hate you!”
“I know.” He walked out and closed the door behind him.

Fun fact! When the banter is sooo hot, and the chemistry is literally sizzling, I have to force myself to get on the treadmill just to cool off from these two, lol. I wish you could see my fingers; there’s steam coming from my keyboard, I’m typing so fast (kidding, kinda). The push and pull, the tension, the build, the desperation for one of these strong-willed characters to break first—ah! Just wait, y’all.

A reader just asked me this question..."Are there any surprise tropes in this book that you’re not telling us about?"
Yes! This book has a trope I’ve never written before and one I’m so excited to explore. And, no, I’m not telling you, I’m keeping it a surprise. :-)

The first 20% of every book is the hardest. I’m learning the characters’ voices, listening to their individual stories, and letting them straight into my soul—all necessary steps so I can write for them. But with this book, I completely skipped the learning phase because Colson threw himself at me (or I threw myself at him HA!) and his demands owned me. Hey, buddy, please let me sleep a little? Send coffee. Please.
