An uncharacteristically rushed read for me… I read it because it was cited in another book.
It served its purpose of providing some context on the wealthy side of early 20th century Long Island, how contemporary culture shaped “The Great Gatsby” (surprised these details aren’t mentioned in high school classes), and the shape of Fitzgerald’s life. Sad he did not live to see he wrote a blockbuster.
