The second half of the book was so painful to read. The direction it took just felt like cheating to me, and I couldn't shake that feeling. I was so frustrated with Wren. And my heart breaks for my man Cross 💔 He deserves so much better than this 😭😭❤️🩹

@Iqra I totally agree with you on this! I think that vision was taken out of context. There's no way Cross wouldn't have recognized Jasper in that moment, considering they talked about him in SE. I'm more than sure that was some sort of op, or he was trying to get some intel and that was his cover, or something. The way he loves her and told her there could never be anybody else for him but Wren? I choose to believe him and I'm sure he'll prove us right in book 3. Which makes what happened in book 2 even more devastating 😭😭
