Ann is a pleasure to re-read and I am devouring just as eagerly as years ago - with the perspective of 10 years of public defense, Ann is certainly a policewoman at heart so the books obviously have have that slant, it's very much a vibe of "they are obviously guilty so why are we waiting for trial" kind of thing but I get it. Just don't be expecting much acknowledgement of the fallibity of police officers!
