Switched from Hammond to Fagles. Fiyah

Book five was the best so far. Engaging, despite its difficulty. Every soldier who kills or is killed is always described as the son of someone and is of some place, which reads very monotonously. Almost of all of that information is leaving my brain as soon as it enters. However, it's humanizing. These were men with families and homes, not just nameless pawns in war.

But is any of this real anyway?

Was gonna complain about the repetition but then I listened to whole lotta red today and realized hey repetition isn’t that bad. Carti did it better though homer I’m sorry. Anyways the war finally started in book four and it’s starting to pick up. Honestly I’m trying really hard but I’m tempted to give up on this book
