this is the detour I needed!!! I like Virgil and how caring he is even though people have thought the worst about his race for centuries. I like his shadows and how they serve more than one purpose for his kind. I like May and how open she is. Shes obviously been through some trauma, but that's not shaping her future with Virgil .
