It was fine. Kind of drags for the first 30% before blasting off into more excitement. The ending seemed kind of rushed and a bit too neat.
Don't really understand complaints about the historicity. Firstly, it's fantasy, y'all. Secondly, the entire momentum of the plot is driven by Anne's rebellion of gendered expectations. Her only escape from the patriarchal constraints was a literal fantastical world.
