Just finished the cruise ship essay. David Foster Wallace’s humor truly shines in his total disdain for the idea of being “pampered to death” and vehemently hated by those paid to take care of you and the other 5,000 passengers.

so far, i’ve read the 1st, 2nd and 5th essays. i broke up the David lynch essay a bit too much, so will probably reread. So far, his essay on television has been my favorite. a deep dive on irony-poisoning and meta-on-meta.
