I don’t actually like to call this series my guilty pleasure because there’s nothing in them that I should feel “guilty” for reading. They are like MacDonalds. I enjoy them but they do little for my overall literary health. The last novella did mention Edinburgh’s Ragged Schools which were my distraction topic!
