I hate to be callous, but she knew her little sister for maybe 1 to 2 years (maybe 3) before her little sister passed away and her little sister passed away 10 years ago. Taking a new account that you don’t really start developing memories until your 3 to 4 years old. I feel like you wouldn’t be this upset anymore. There’s not enough emotional depth for me to really get behind this plot point.

Mental ramparts… takes the fun out of an emotional bond. And the risk. Not to mention feelings are so fluid and instant, there is no chance he is consistently guarding them or she would notice continuous spans of no emotion emanating from him, would she not? What kind of a mission is go to a town for a day (whenever) and see if things are in order?? What does this mean? They walked, ate food, and broke up a fight

Cheers to us finishing our first mission, which was literally just them walking through a town for about 10 minutes. Wow such in-depth world building. Also this might be addressed later, but can’t she feel his desire whenever he looks at her so she’d know that he has a fat crush on her?
